We have courses designed for the complete beginner, maybe you would like to try out an activity for the first time – to those with some experience, perhaps you want to have the chance to further develop your skills in an activity? We can provide courses in a variety of activities including rock climbing, caving, hill walking, canoeing and kayaking, navigation and mountain biking.

Discover rock climbing

From climbing wall to crag, have you ever wished that you had the confidence 25 climbing adult smalland skills to try the exciting activity of rock climbing? This is an introductory course which will give you a foundation in the skills needed to be a safe climber. You can join us for two days or just the first one.  During the two days you’ll find out about the fundamental techniques, learn about climbing equipment and start to develop ropework skills on a climbing wall. With your expert instructor you will be able to put all this into practice at some of the classic Peak District crags.    

Discover caving

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to explore the fascinating underground world of caves in The Peak District?  Our introductory caving course is over two days; you can join us for the weekend or just the first day if you want. During the weekend we will use some of Derbyshire’s classic cave systems with your expert instructor teaching you the skills so you have the knowledge and confidence to enjoy this exciting world.

Discover hill walking

Have you ever wished that you had the confidence and skills to plan walks and navigate safely in the hills? This is a great course for learning how to plan hill walks, become familiar with the use of a map and compass, learn about equipment and develop an understanding of the effects of the weather. You can join us for two days or just the first one.  During the two days you’ll develop navigation skills and explore some of classic hill walks in the Peak District.

Discover canoeing

Have you ever wished that you had the confidence and skills to paddle a canoe on open water? This one or two day course is perfect for anyone who wants an introduction to canoeing. You can join us for two days or just the first one. On day one you’ll learn basic boat handling skills and on the second day you’ll be able to put what you have learnt into practise during a journey on a river or lake. All equipment and transport is provided and with our expert instructors you will be amazed at how quickly you make progress.  

Discover mountain biking

White Hall is situated in The Peak District which has some of the best mountain14 mtb adult activities small biking in the UK. This course utilises our purpose built mtb track to help you develop your skills and confidence before go and put what you’ve learnt into practise on some of the classic local mtb rides. Maybe you’ve got a mountain bike but don’t feel confident to use it offroad, or perhaps you’ve tried a bit on rough tracks but want to learn the skills to keep you safe. A course with our expert instructors will improve your confidence, balance and technique and we’ll have you progressing from smooth singletrack to being able to ride rougher tracks.   

Improver mountain biking

Have you done a bit of mountain biking and want to improve your skills? This course utilises our purpose built mountain bike track to help you improve your skills and confidence before go and put what you’ve learnt into practise on some of the classic local mtb rides. Discover more about body positioning, weight shifting, effective cornering, braking techniques and line choice. A course with our expert instructors will help you to become more confident at riding rocky or steep ground.
